Third of July Independence Day Pool Party & Barbeque

The Norbeck Grove events committee is hosting a "3rd" of July Independence Day Pool Party & Barbeque and Childrens Book Drive. Please join us at the Norbeck Grove pool this third of July. Games and food will be provided by the Norbeck Grove Community Association. Please feel free to bring a side dish or a tasty treat to share with your neighbors.

We hope the weather plays nice this year as we plan to have a lot of fun. There will be a Moon Bounce and Face Painters, along with good old fashioned BBQ food (Burgers, Hotdogs, etc), and other yummy treats and fun things to do.

In return we ask that you consider donating a new or used children(s) book, which we will be donating to a local program for disadvantaged children. The donation to benefit Montgomery County's "at-risk" children is in continued celebration and memory of Daniel Greenbaum, a little boy who loved books.

The festivities will kick off around noon and the barbeque at the pool starts at approximately 1:00pm. No rain date -- July 3rd or bust.

We are aware that not all members of the community participate in the yahoo group, therefore if you know of a neighbor who may be interested please pass this information along. The committee will also be placing signs at the entrance(s) of the neighborhood to ensure that we communicate this event to a full cross-section of the community.

If you have any questions or would like to assist in participation along with other Norbeck Grove event committee members you may e-mail us at NGVEventsCommittee-at-Yahoo.com"

See you on July 3rd!!!

basketballTownhome Basketball Court

The Board has received numerous complaints about problems relating to the basketball court in the townhome section of the community. Concerns range from playing/dribbling the ball late into the night, foul language, and littering. Signs will be posted stating that the court is closed from 9PM to 10AM daily. The sign will also state the rules of the court.

We are requesting that all parents whose children use the basketball court to talk with them about the rules and ask them to use the trashcan which the association had installed last year.

CAP: Basketball Court at the end of Tothill DriveIf there is not a marked improvement of the noise late at night, foul language, and littering, then the residents who complained have been advised that if they were to start a petition and obtain a majority of the homeowner’s signatures from sections 2 and 3 of the community, then the basketball hoops will be removed.

Continued problems can be reported to Todd Hassett at thassett@tmgainc.com who will forward them to Diane Wyman who will lead the petition effort on behalf of the concerned residents.
